bangles...bangles...everywhere

If I had to choose one piece of jewelry that I would like to wear till rest of my life, would be bangles.

There are so many types of them, colorful and that jingly sound when you walk is just what I love.
Bangles not only look gorgeous and are just simply a decoration on women's wrists but in Indian culture bangles can have special spiritual meanings.
It is said that a married woman should not walk around with bare hands. Bangles bring luck.
That piece of jewelry is especially important for a future Indian bride. Depending on the region in India, the type, amount of bangles and their symbol differ.

In Maharashtra region, a bride wears green glass bangles with golden ones. They should be worn in odd numbers and in different numbers on both hands, for example 9 on one hand and 11 on the other.
Wearing bangles should bring good luck to the married couple, good health to the husband, protect from the bad energy and many many more.

I find them amazingly beautiful and wear always some pieces as everyday jewelry.
What do you think about bangles?
